The Battery Revolution just reached the next level

:

Three massive battery storage plants—built by Tesla, AES Corp., and Altagas Ltd.—are all officially going live in southern California at about the same time. Any one of these projects would have been the largest battery storage facility ever built. Combined, they amount to 15 percent of the battery storage installed planet-wide last year.

The time is almost here when intermittent renewable energy – from the sun or wind- will be stored in batteries and used to power Everything – all day & night long.

San Francisco has always been one of those cities that seems to be on the cutting edge of just about everything.    So it is no surprise that San Francisco has become the first city in the USA to require all new buildings be required to have solar panels.   Let’s see if this catches on. Governors Accord for a New Energy Future

Governers

17 States have banded together to form the “Governors’ Accord for a New Energy Future”. New York and California are among them. It will be interesting to see how this plays out with the recent Supreme Court suspension of the Clean Power Plan and the courts final decision on the matter. Read Here!
